So recently I snagged a spot in the GBK Golden Globes 2012 Celebrity Gift Lounge through
The Artisan Group. They are a juried bunch of artisans committed to helping each other grow, but the main focus is on gifting celebrities through these red carpet celebrity gift lounges prior to huge events like the Oscars, Golden Globes, and the Emmy's.

Big bang in the hood!

Pictures from 4th of July in our neighborhood.
Wow did we have the fireworks. Standing on the back deck we had a 360 of all the big bangs from neighbors and we could see some super large and loud community fireworks too.

It was a blast. No pun intended. Well...maybe ;)

1st camping trip of spring, euphoria!

Love this time of year!
Whenever the chance arises, hubs & I throw camping gear into the car and head out where the night sky comes alive.

This past week we were fortunate enough to have a couple of super nice days and headed for Red River Gorge in the Daniel Boone National Forest.

Persephone and the Pomegranate

Hi all
Have something wonderful to share with you all.
In 2009 Maya of springtree road had an idea. She wanted to spin beads into yarn.
She popped into our shop and found the perfect little red garnet brios.








Her idea was to create a "Persephone and the Pomegranate yarn," with the the garnets as pomegranate seeds. She cultivated the idea, spun, dyed and piled the yarn with the garnets.
